Public Square Rosary Crusade

Pray for our Nation!

October 10, 2015 - Noon

In front of Basha’s on John Wayne Parkway

America is at a historic crossroad. Secularist are trying to push God from the public square. They reject His beneficial action upon society. But without God, where will our leaders get the wisdom to solve the great problems we face?

We must stop the secularist advance and pray to God for help. He will hear us, if we pray through the intercession of His blessed Mother.

St. Louis de Montfort said: “Public prayer is far more powerful than private prayer to appease the anger of God and call down His mercy, and Holy Mother Church, guided by the Holy Ghost, has always advocated public prayer in times of public tragedy and suffering.”

Please Call: Elisa Chavez 760-586-4405 with questions.

$5 and A Prayer Challenge

Building our Church and our Community

Kicking off May 1, 2015 in honor of Our Lady

Our Lady of Grace Catholic Parish in Maricopa, Arizona is launching a social media challenge to see how much support we can get worldwide to build our parish community. We are asking our brothers and sisters in Christ to donate just $5 to honor their parish, and/or a parish that is special to them, and say a prayer for the successful growth of our parish.

Our success is obviously dependent upon your support not only in donating, but also is sharing this with all of your Catholic friends. We want to see if we can get support for all of the Catholic churches worldwide. At the end of the challenge, October 7, 2015, a book will be created and placed in our new church remembering all of those parishes and the generous donors who made this possible.

Established as a parish in 2007, Our Lady of Grace has grown from 400 families to 1200 families and we continue to grow. The current church only seats 200 people and seats have been set up outside the church with a TV monitor in order to serve all of our parishioners. We are educating over 400 children and youth in our Religious Education programs. One can easily see our need to grow our parish campus.

Construction of a new church has begun and is scheduled to be completed next spring. With seating for 500, it is anticipated that we will soon outgrow that and will have to expand the church. Our vision does not stop with the church. We are already planning a parish campus which will include K-8 parish school, a public park, an assisted living area, and an Alzheimer’s unit. Thank you for helping us build our church and the Maricopa community. Donations can be mailed to:

Spiritual Adoption Program

Blanketing unborn babies with prayer

What is the Spiritual Adoption Program?

The Purpose of the Spiritual Adoption Program is threefold:

  • Encourage parishes, schools and other communities to pray for babies in danger of abortion.
  • Educate adults and children about the development of the pre-born child.
  • Provide mothers in need with assistance at a 'baby shower' of donated baby gifts, or simply celebrate with a 'birthday party' at the conclusion of the program. In some schools a crib was bought with monetary gifts and the children filled a crib with gifts for expectant Mothers.

This is done by encouraging people to "spiritually adopt" an unborn baby, and to follow their baby along the path to being born.

How does it work?

It's very simple. Participants pledge to pray for nine months for a baby in danger of abortion. During each month of the program, the "spiritual parents" are given information about their baby's development in the womb. While this child will remain unknown to his or her 'spiritual parent', God knows who the child is. Many people have found that naming 'their child' helps to keep them focused on the reality that their prayers are helping to save a particular baby from the harm of abortion. As the program goes along, you can send "Thank-you" notes to the participants from the baby each month. This is especially nice for school and religious education programs, and helps the participants form a genuine sense of connection with their adopted baby. At the end of the program a 'baby shower' or 'birthday party' can be held and gifts of baby items donated given to a local pregnancy center.

Sign up this weekend!

Representatives from the Women's Ministry will be available after all the Masses this weekend to register all who would like to participate in the Spiritual Adoption Program.

Vocations Corner

What is it that God is asking you to do with your life?

Are you discerning your "call" in life, your vocation?

Have you ever thought of being a priest?

Diocese of Tucson Vocations Prayer

Loving and generous God, we need more vocations to the priesthood. Send us faith-filled servants to minister as dedicated and loving priests in the Diocese of Tucson.

Inspire us with your Holy Spirit so that we will encourage and foster a culture of vocations in which many will hear your call to serve your people.

Bless our Diocese with men and women who will work together with your priests as deacons, religious, and lay ministers to bring to life the Gospel and to realize the Church’s mission in our Diocese. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
