All Saints Day - November 1, 2014
Mass: 8:00 a.m.

All Souls Novena
November 2 - 10, 2014
The All Souls Novena begins on All Souls Day, November 2, 2014 with the 8:00 a.m. Mass and continues for nine days.Turning to supplication, they prayed that the sinful deed might be fully blotted out. The noble Judas exhorted the people to keep themselves free from sin, for they had seen with their own eyes what had happened because of the sin of those who had fallen. He then took up a collection among all his soldiers, amounting to two thousand silver drachmas, which he sent to Jerusalem to provide for an expiatory sacrifice. In doing this he acted in a very excellent and noble way, inasmuch as he had the resurrection in mind; for if he were not expecting the fallen to rise again, it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead. But if he did this with a view to the splendid reward that awaits those who had gone to rest in godliness, it was a holy and pious thought. Thus he made atonement for the dead that they might be absolved from their sin.

PRAYER FOR THE END TO ABORTION
Friday, October 17th - 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Location: On Hwy 347 in front of Basha's, next to Circle K
Our purpose is to bring awareness to the reality of Abortion. It’s crucial that we pray and stand against the powers of darkness over our land that have given us the present “culture of death.” Simply come and stand in peaceful solidarity at the corner for an hour on Fridays. Bring your sign if you have one, to witness to and help educate a public that is sorely lacking the Truth that abortion is a great evil that defames the name and holiness of God. It is not an easy thing to witness to the truth of abortion. The media continues to treat those who oppose abortions as extremists and mindless zealots. However, considering the scope of the evil that plagues our countries, it is vital that pro-lifers speak up, because if they don’t speak up, no one else will.
Please contact Ann Bunn at 717-495-0222 for more information. Thank you in advance for your participation.
What is it that God is asking you to do with your life?
Are you discerning your "call" in life, your vocation?
Have you ever thought of being a priest?
Diocese of Tucson Vocations Prayer
Loving and generous God, we need more vocations to the priesthood. Send us faith-filled servants to minister as dedicated and loving priests in the Diocese of Tucson.
Inspire us with your Holy Spirit so that we will encourage and foster a culture of vocations in which many will hear your call to serve your people.
Bless our Diocese with men and women who will work together with your priests as deacons, religious, and lay ministers to bring to life the Gospel and to realize the Church’s mission in our Diocese. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
